WHO SHOULD DO THIS COURSE:
This course was designed for students who cannot attend the 160-hours full-time course at the school’s campus in Knysna. This course was designed for everyone who is serious about TEFL and wants to learn the best skills and methodology in order to be a successful TEFL teacher. Students receive the opportunity to teach an array of students during their 1 week practical at the campus.

Combo Course
Part-Time COMBO TEFL Course – (Distance Learning with practical component)
This course comprises of 2 Components:
a.) A 120 hour Online TEFL Teacher Course covering the Theoretical Modules mentioned below which prepares you as an ONLINE TEFL teacher
PLUS
b.) A 40 hour ONE WEEK Full-time Practical week at the Knysna English School which prepares you to teach English as a Foreign Language overseas in actual classrooms.
- COURSE DURATION:
a. 120 Hour Online TEFL Teacher course= 1 to 3 months – 120 hours (over the internet during which students complete 36 Modules with Quizzes as well as 8x practical online sessions facilitated by our qualified trainers)
b. Practical Component = 5 days (Monday to Friday) at our Knysna Campus – 40 hours - Course price: R 6 900 (includes both components)

Practical Teaching Hours
- During the first component, which is done ONLINE, students do 8x practical online facilitated sessions with our highly qualified facilitators. They get the opportunity to observe other students teaching online and are also afforded the opportunity to teach so that they can become comfortable teaching on online teaching platforms. Total practical sessions: Minimum 7 – 8 hours
- During the second practical Students come to Knysna for 1-week (5 days) for their practical training. (In special circumstances, our academic director will allow you to do your practical teaching at schools in your hometown and send in your teaching videos for evaluation and feedback purposes.) Total hours Taught: Minimum 3 Hours
Teaching Observed
During their training Trainees not only observe qualified teachers teaching English as a Foreign Language to different levels and ages, but also have lesson observation in classes during their 1x week practical training at our Knysna Campus.
